August 2025 minutes

Illiopolis/Niantic PLD

August 25, 2025 board meeting.

Hildebrandt called the meeting to order at 5:35 pm, with Hopkins, Luna, Cromwell, Adams, Pratt and Bramel present.

The minutes of the June meeting were approved as read. Luna moved that they be approved. Cromwell seconded it, and the motion carried with no opposing votes. The minutes of the July meeting were approved as read. Cromwell moved that the July minutes be approved. Pratt seconded it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Financial reports for June were read and approved. Cromwell moved that the minutes be approved. Adams seconded it, and the motion carried with no opposing votes. Financial reports for July were read and approved. Bramel moved that the minutes be approved. Adams seconded it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Circulation and materials acquired were discussed.

Monthly bills were discussed. Luna moved that the bills be approved for payment. Cromwell seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

OLD BUSINESS

The 2025 summer reading program concluded at the end of June. We had 42 individuals sign up, 34 participants qualifying for the final prize drawing.

Th “Foam and Flight” ending celebration was a huge success. Many attendee expressed their appreciation and would love to see this type of program in the future.

NEW BUSINESS

The library received 2024 Per Capita Grant in the amount of $3,013.43

We received in tax revenue $30,244.14 from Macon County on July 14 and on August 13 $3,161.26. We received $1,269.06 from Sangamon County on July 16.
