Board of Trustees Meeting Minutes

April 27, 2026

The meeting was called to order by President Hildebrandt at 5:30 p.m.

Board Members Present: Cromwell, Adams, Luna, Bramel, Pratt, and Shanle.
Librarian Hopkins was also present.

Approval of Minutes

The minutes of the March meeting were reviewed. Pratt moved to approve the minutes as read. Cromwell seconded the motion, and it carried unanimously.

Financial Reports

The financial reports for March were presented and reviewed. Luna moved to approve the financial reports. Bramel seconded the motion, and the motion carried unanimously.

Circulation and Materials

Circulation statistics and newly acquired materials were discussed.

Monthly Bills

The board reviewed the monthly bills. Cromwell moved to approve the bills for payment. Pratt seconded the motion, and the motion carried unanimously.

Old Business

The Illiopolis Community Club hosted a presentation on Harriet Tubman on Tuesday, April 14, presented by Kathryn Harris. The event was attended by 39 people, many from outside the community. Hopkins and Fleck provided snacks.

The library hosted author, news reporter, and CBS producer Bob Cyphers on Wednesday, April 22. Mr. Cyphers delivered an in-depth presentation on cases he has investigated, as well as books he has authored. Nine people attended, and light refreshments were provided.

New Business

No new business was discussed.

The meeting adjourned at 6:06 p.m.
