February 2024 minutes

February 26, 2024 board meeting.

Hildebrandt called the meeting to order at 5:36 pm with the librarian Hopkins, Cromwell, Luna, Pratt, and Adams present.

The minutes of the December meeting were approved as read. Luna moved that the minutes be approved. Cromwell seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes. The minutes of the January meeting were approved as read. Pratt moved that the minutes be approved. Luna seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Financial reports were read & approved for December. Luna moved that the minutes be approved. Pratt seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes. Financial reports for January were approved as read. Cromwell moved that the minutes be approved. Adams seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Circulation and materials acquired were discussed.

Monthly bills were discussed. Pratt moved that the bills be approved for payment. Cromwell seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

OLD BUSINESS

Hopkins reported the budget and levy ordinances were filed with the Macon and Sangamon County Clerk's Office.

The staff graciously thanked the board for their Christmas bonus and raise they received.

NEW BUSINESS

The Winter Reading Program ended on January 31. The month-long program had twenty-seven patrons sign up, and twenty-two turned in book logs. Ten adults and twelve youths participated. Prizes and crafts totaled to $323.23.

The next monthly meeting will be held on March 25 at 5:30 pm.

The meeting adjourned at 5:45 pm.
