June 2024 minutes

Illiopolis/Niantic Public Library
June 24, 2024 board meeting.

Luna called the meeting to order at 5:30 pm with the librarian Hopkins, Shanle, Pratt, and Adams present. Hildebrandt, Bramel and Cromwell were absent.

The minutes of the April meeting were approved as read. Shanle moved that the minutes be approved. Pratt seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes. The minutes of the May meeting were approved as read. Pratt moved that the minutes be approved. Adams seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Financial reports were read & approved for April. Shanle moved that the minutes be approved. Pratt seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes. Financial reports for May were approved as read. Pratt moved that the minutes be approved. Adams seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Circulation and materials acquired were discussed.

Monthly bills were discussed. Pratt moved that the bills be approved for payment. Shanle seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

OLD BUSINESS

The summer reading program is in progress with 44 registered patrons.

NEW BUSINESS

The library received $9600 from the Illiopolis Corporate Replacement Tax on June 4. From Sangamon County property taxes in the amount of $32,179.96 were received on June 12, 2024,
