October 2022 minutes

Illiopolis/Niantic Public Library
October 24, 2022 meeting.

Hildebrandt called the meeting to order at 5:32 pm with the librarian Hopkins. Cromwell, Shanle, Luna, Pratt and Bramel are present, and Adams is absent.

The minutes of the September meeting were approved as read. Bramel moved that the minutes be approved. Cromwell seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Financial reports were read & approved for the month of September. Luna moved that the minutes be approved. Shanle seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Circulation and materials acquired were discussed.

Monthly bills were discussed. Cromwell moved that the bills be approved for payment. Bramel seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

OLD BUSINESS

Our bookkeeper has found an accountant to do our audit. There is an increase in cost but not as high as the other bids have been. The board discussed the issue and will look into other alternatives.

NEW BUSINESS

We received $2,199.79 from Sangamon County property taxes on October 12 and $2,982.42 from Macon County property taxes on October 17.

A budget meeting will be held on Wednesday, November 2 to prepare our budget and levy.

The next meeting will be on November 28 at 5:30 p.m.
