Board Meeting April 15, 2019

Ervin called the meeting to order at 5:15 pm with the librarian and all trustees present.

The minutes of the last meeting were approved as read. Hinds moved that the reports be approved. Hildebrandt seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Financial reports were read and discussed. Shanle moved that the reports be approved. Borowczyk seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

Circulation and materials acquired were discussed.

Monthly bills were discussed. Borowczyk moved that the bills be approved for payment. Shanle seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

OLD BUSINESS

Election results are in and Brenda Shanle and Trisha Hildebrandt victoriously won their unopposed slots. Patty Hinds chose not to run for re-election so this will be her last meeting. Board members and staff are looking for the next suitable candidate to serve on the board.

Winter reading program has now ended. 28 patrons signed up, 220 names were in the bucket for prizes and 12 patrons attended the ending party. The genealogy group is taking off exceptionally well and the staff are savoring the excitement of members of local communities using the library that have not before. A motion was made by Patty Hinds for the library to purchase Ancestry.com world wide access for one year. Shanle seconds it and the motion carried with no opposing votes.

NEW BUSINESS

The library was awarded $2,791.25 for the Per Capita Grant that Hopkins prepares and submits yearly.

The May meeting will be moved up a week due to the Memorial Day holiday.

Meeting adjured at 5:50 pm.
